BM Analysis (Startup)

BM Analysis (Startup)

The BM Analysis (Business Model Analysis) provides an overview of a startup by extracting key information from its website, uploaded documents, or a combination of both sources. The extracted information is organized within the “Basic” section.

BM Analysis Using URL

If you would like to run a BM Analysis using only the startup URL, click “Run BM Analysis.” Canopy will collect and analyze the available information from the website. Once the analysis is complete, you can review and edit the generated information. After confirming the information, click “Approve and Save” to finalize the BM Analysis.

BM Analysis Using Text

In the BM Analysis section, select “Analyze from Text.” You will then have the option to either upload a file or enter text directly into the text box. You can upload a file in PDF, TXT, or MD format (maximum size: 10MB), or manually enter text into the text box. When you upload a file, the text from the file will be automatically extracted and populated into the text box. After confirming the text, click “Analyze Text” to start the analysis.

BM Analysis Using Text and URL

Click “URL + Text” to perform a combined analysis using both sources. Upload a document or enter text directly into the text box, then enter the URL you would like to analyze. Canopy will automatically populate the URL entered during the startup registration process. After confirming the information, click “Run Combined Analysis” to begin the analysis.

Editing / Re-analyze BM Analysis

Once you approve the BM Analysis, the generated content will be displayed in the startup’s overview page under the “BM Analysis” section. You can edit the analysis or run a new analysis at any time by clicking the options menu in the top-right corner of the “BM Analysis” section.
