What is Sprout?

Sprout is an automated data entry and progress-tracking feature within Canopy, an AI-first startup management and acceleration platform. It is designed to eliminate the tedious manual administrative work that program managers typically handle after mentoring sessions or startup check-ins. On your screen, there will be a black circle on the bottom right corner of your screen, and this will be Sprout used for logging your notes.

How Sprout Works

  1. Drop Notes: You paste raw meeting notes, Slack snippets, text, PDFs, or upload images directly into the platform.

  2. AI Structuring: Sprout's AI analyzes the text and automatically extracts key performance indicators (KPIs), progress updates, next actions, and support strategies.

  3. Human Approval: Before any data is committed to the database, an interactive diff interface lets you review the AI's suggestions, make inline edits if necessary, and approve them with a single click.

Key Benefits

  • Reduces Administrative Overhead: Replaces multi-step post-meeting updates and manual spreadsheet tracking with a single copy-and-paste action.

  • Human-in-the-Loop Security: Prevents unmonitored or incorrect AI updates by keeping a human review step mandatory for all database changes.

  • Real-Time Synchronization: Automatically integrates with Canopy's main dashboard to update health scores, milestones, and WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) tasks instantly.
